Editorial Policy

This page explains how we decide what appears on this site, in enough detail that you can check whether we followed it. If we have not, the contact page is the place to tell us.

Independence

Editorial decisions are made by the two people named on our authors page and by nobody else. No operator, affiliate network, or advertiser sees a page before it publishes, and none has ever been given the option. We have declined requests to remove documented slow payout windows and to reword the California legal position, and we will decline them again.

How Rankings Are Decided

The order of the casinos in our main list is supplied to us and published verbatim . We do not re-sort it, and we say so plainly rather than implying a ranking we did not perform. What we do independently is everything written about each operator: the payout window, the licence authority, the bonus wording, the "best for" line, and our own score. Where our research contradicts an operator's marketing, our research is what gets printed.

How We Research A Fact

Payout windows and licence authorities come from three sources in order of preference: the operator's own banking or terms pages, statements on independent pages that rank for the relevant query, and third-party review corroboration. During review two payout figures were corrected because the underlying text turned out to describe a different casino — we re-extracted both from per-brand sources rather than letting the original stand.

Where an operator does not publish a figure at all, we give our best assessment based on the platform and operator group it belongs to, because sister sites on a shared platform share banking rails and clear on the same timescales. That is an informed read rather than a guess, and it is recorded as such in our own files. Licence numbers are the one thing we never assess: a registration number is either transcribed from a regulator or absent, and we currently publish none.

Corrections

We correct errors rather than deleting pages. When a published fact changes we update the page and note what changed, because a silently edited page is indistinguishable from one that was never wrong. Report anything you think is inaccurate to editor@manipediplussanfrancisco.com.

What We Refuse To Publish

• Any claim that an offshore operator is legal, licensed, or regulated in California.
• Sweepstakes or social casinos, closed in California by Assembly Bill 831.
• Invented licence numbers, payout times, credentials, or audience figures.
• An unresearched figure standing in for a real one. An unknown fact is published as unknown, or not at all.

How This Site Makes Money

We earn a commission when a reader signs up at one of the casinos we list, and that is the whole of our revenue. It does not change the order the operators appear in, which is supplied to us and published verbatim, and it does not change what we write about them. A site that would move an operator up for money has nothing else worth reading, so we would rather tell you the arrangement plainly than bury it in a footer. Where we research a fact from the operator's own pages first, and where an operator publishes a range we print both ends of it rather than only the flattering one.
